The recipe for success: pondering, puzzling and probing Ulrich Niele invented and developed his electric drive rope winch with his engineering department in a process of creative team work. The team at delta p GmbH in Barleben spent several years drawing, calculating, constructing and optimising, before the prototype was constructed and tested in the spring of 2012. A patent application will be lodged applied soon. Customers have already expressed a great deal of interest. The electric drive rope winch has mainly proved its superiority over conventional drilling rigs in the permafrost of Siberia, where demands on drilling equipment are extremely high. This is where hydraulic systems reach their limits. The electric winch from delta p is sturdier and better able to cope in extreme temperatures and dirt, is easier to operate and has a longer life than conventional rigs. Know-how of this kind can only develop on solid foundations. In 1989, Ulrich Niele graduated from Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg after studying hydraulic drive engineering. After that he worked as a design engineer before joining delta p GmbH, where he has been determining the company's course since 2009. The main focus of his innovative manufacturing company is the electric drive for drilling rigs. |
