Around 700 doctors and healthcare service providers call the Börde district home. These include cardiologists, alternative practitioners, paediatricians, physiotherapists, midwives, dentists, allergy specialists, orthopaedists, ambulance services, outpatient care and medical technicians. Health centres with teams of doctors and other health-related services provide medical care to the rural population. The district also has four hospitals with various clinic locations such as Haldensleben, the spa town of Flechtingen and Oschersleben. These specialise in ophthalmology, rehabilitation, cardiovascular diseases, neurology and psychiatry.
