Some 135 sports clubs, 38 types of sports, around 15,000 members. With more than 2,000 sports medals the Jerichower Land District Sports Association won the regional competition in Saxony-Anhalt in 2012. Our sports clubs have also gained recognition for their voluntary social activities in the 'Stars of Sports' competition, an annual event organised by the Olympic Sports Association which includes projects promoting the integration of the disabled and the promotion of young talent.
